| Cat Toys | | I don't get my cats. Why are they so picky about what they play with? Both of them refuse to play with anything except for these toy mice. My thing is...they should honestly know they aren't real mice. What makes the mice different than a ball? Are your cats picky about their toys as well? | |
| | Cat Toys | | My cat is driving me crazy with these little toy mice. It is the only thing she will play with but she murders them. Ok, since they aren't living things she doesn't murder them. She tears the toy mice apart and the cardboard stuffing inside ends up all over my house. She will not play with any other toy and I can't bare to take them away from her. Are all cats like this? Why doesn't she like variety? | |

| Is your home Cat proof? | | One day my wife and I went to the mall to get a smoothie. Afterwards we visited the pet store. There was this little kitten in the corner by it's self and my wife fell in love with it. It was a full blooded registered Tabby Persian. We already had one cat and thought this would be a play mate for it. We took it home and named it Dusty. It just played and played. Then about a week later, it started gagging one morning. I took it to the vet's and He told me it had no fever and to bring it back tomorrow if it didn't get better. I drove home upset and the more I thought about it, the madder I got. I knew there was something wrong with this kitten. I called the vet back and asked for a different vet. I told her I had been in and was not happy with my visit. She said for me to bring her right in, chances were the kitten had an abstruction. She ran an X-ray, then did a barium test showing an abstruction. She operated immediately. She said it did have a high fever and probably would not have lasted the night. She pulled from it's intestant a large ball of cotton. The vet said for us to go home and see if we could find where it came from. After hours of searching, we found the problem. It... | |
| | Does your cat go crazy with catnip? | | My cats go crazy when I bring home a new scratch box or any toy with fresh catnip. It is like they get drunk on it. They lay on top of the scratch box and then they get up staggering. It is so funny. I don't have any pictures of my cats with it yet but I found this one on the internet and it looks like something my cats would do. | |

| Soooooo, What do you get a very special cat for Christmas? | | well.. if he is siamese and is partial to playtex tampons, you get him, for his and our entertainment, AND for MY embarrassment, his OWN BOX of TAMPONS..a sixpack! of course!!
Imagine my speechless moment when a buddy came over on a Saturday morning and the furniture was being moved about to get the real weekly dusting and vacuuming done and tampons are lying about in various stages, from tampon to dead mouse. His sudden silence and the look of disbelief left me with only one answer. uh um.. they belong to the cat. He got them for Christmas! Honest!
Can you relate to this? | |
| | Cat toys | | What kind of toys do you have for your cats?
I recently bought a pack of Zanies rainbow mice, my cat likes them and since there's like 60 of them (got them for $8+shipping), if she keeps losing them, I just keep replacing them with new ones. Do you know of any cat toys that most cats really enjoy? The idea is keeping the cat busy when I'm busy (or out -- although my cat mostly sleeps when I'm not home). Also, they have to be safe for the cats.

| Ways to Entertain a Cat (that don't require $$) | | I've been broke for sometime now and my cat has just gotten bored. Shes no longer interested in her toys, the laser pen, or when I roll up a aluminum foil ball. I don't have any yarn or ribbon either.
What other ways can I try to entertain her??
| | Choosing cat toys that are fun and safe!!... | | "cats love playing with toys. Choosing cat toys (http://www.petsupplies4ypc.com/cattoys.html) can be interesting because there are so many to choose from. You may have to buy several cat toys to find a few that your cat really enjoys. You want to make sure any cat toys you buy are safe for your kitty. Sometimes this depends on the size and age of your cat. Your cat's activity level is another consideration. Many times the things that a cat most enjoys playing with are the most dangerous. Take tinsel or string for instance. Unfortunately most cats loves these items but they can swallow them and this may lead to serious problems with digestion. Cats are also interested in playing with rubber bands, paper clips and ribbon. These are unsa fe cat toys and you should keep them away from your cat.Even when you purchase cat toys you may need to remove parts that can become dangerous. If feathers, strings, eyes or other small parts are not firmly attached they may be unsafe for your kitty. When purchasing soft toys, look for the ones that are machine washable. When you buy cat toys that can be washed it will be easier to keep the toys... | |
