Cat Treats Discussions | | What especially unusual attention do you give your cat? | | When I go to bed, My cat stands next to my head and nudges at the blankets until I lift it a bit and she crawls under and sleeps in my armpit all curled up. She has always slept on me in bed but only the last couple years she has wanted under the blankets. She is about 8 years old and I think her bones are starting to ache a little and she likes the heat under the blankets. What do you do for your cats that is unnusual? | |
| | cat that doesn't use the little box consistently | | Sometimes she uses it, sometimes she doesn't. And I can't figure out why. I make sure to keep the boxes clean, so it's not a matter of not using it if it's dirty. And I don't think it's a urinary tract infection because she usually does it right next to the box. Plus about a year ago she was doing the same thing and we took her to the vet and there was nothing physically wrong. But she's continued the behavior. We've tried everything we can think of. We make sure the boxes- we have 3 cats and 3 boxes- are always clean. They are in different parts of the house, so there's always one nearby. We have tried to catch her using the box and praise her and give her cat treats for using it. I don't think she's made a connection between the two, though.Anyway, I'm out of ideas. Anyone got any other ideas for me?Kelly | |
| | | What treats do you feed your cats? | | Earlier this month I decided to give back Topper and Butterball Jr. some love of my own by buying them treats. I went to Wal-Mart, and with a few dollars I had left, I bought a bottle of pounce Moist Seafood Medley Cat Treats. At first I gave each cat four treats (8 overall), and they liked it. Now whenever I opened the bottle up, or shook it, they come running to me for the treats, and they snack on it! And in March I bought them new Pounce Moist Carribean Catch Cat Treats, and they like the colors and the taste even more. What kind of treats do you feed your cats that make them come running to you? | |
| | my cat treats my home as a hotel | | My intact tom cat has spent every night out on the tiles for the last month. He spends his days stoned on cat nip and his nights doing god alone knows what. He is always on the door step in the morning but loves the night, do you think he has a life i know nothing about? | |
| | I don't like cats... | | Never have and never will. But (isn't there always a but) we are currently staying with friends while our house is being finalized and they have 9 cats. The youngest, Abby, has taken an absolute shine to us. Their cats are not allowed in the bedrooms, just the dogs (they have 3, we have 1) but Abby has decided our bedroom now belongs to her. While the other cats prowl the house, Abby is currently curled up on my legs as I type this in bed. How can I not fall for this little cutie? She and our little dog have the most hilarious wrestling matches and frequently sleep all balled up together. I have even gone out and bought her her own cat treats (our dog gets a nightly treat and I didn't want her left out). Our friends are already joking that there is no way she will stay with them now that she is as spiled as our dog.So ok, maybe I like one cat. I am a softie for cute animals. | |
| | giving your cat treats? | | Do you give your cats treats? How often do you give them? One of my cats is not interested in treats. She just sniffs them, maybe pokes at them with her paw a bit, then walks away. One of them will eat them occasionally, but he's not a big fan.The third cat absolutely loves them. She is the one who for a while was peeing outside of her litter box, so we started really paying attention and everytime we saw her use the box we would give her a treat. She got used to that, so now every time she is finished in her box she runs to the kitchen for a treat! LOL It seems to have worked, though, because I have not had to clean up any pee in the last couple of weeks.Kelly | |

| | Is your cat a picky eater? | | Ours is. He likes variety. We found a new food--a Whiskas in a pouch. It is a fish...just slides out easy in one moist piece. Our cat just loves it! I'm so glad he's not spoiled or anything, but at 17, what else is there to do but eat and sleep? LOL | |
