| Sad day in our house...giving up a dog | | We have a 3 yr old Australian Shepherd that we are giving to new owners because he is a little bit aggressive and has snapped his teeth and scratched our young children. We know we are doing the right thing but it is heartbreaking because we love him and he was such a sweet puppy and is a beautiful dog. The saddest part is that we have older children ages 15 & 10 and the dog is fine with them but not so good with our 5, 3 or 6 mo old baby. We're so sad! If you have been thru this or can say anything to make us feel better please speak up.

2) Yelling at me for barking. For God's sake, I'm a Dog!

3) Taking me for a walk, then not letting me check things out. Just whose walk is this anyway?

4) Any tricks that involves food on my nose. Stop it.

5) Yelling at me for rubbing my bum on the carpet. Why did you buy carpet?

6) Getting upset when I sniff the crotches of your guests. Sorry, but I haven't quite mastered the firm hand shake yet.

7) How you act disgusted when I lick myself. Look, we all know the truth, you're just jealous.

8) Dog sweaters...HELLO! Haven't you noticed fur?

9) When you pick up poop in the yard. Do you realize how far this puts us behind?

10) Taking me to the vet for "the big snip," then acting surprised when we freak out when we go back.

| | still a virgin dog! | | i have a one year old basset hound dog pet. it bothers me that it doesnt have a dog partner and has not mated with other dogs yet. is this okay? will my dog be healthy if it did not have contact with other dogs? | |
