People Who Eat Pet Food, Or Once Did, I Have A Question For You...
Hi there, Okay, this is not to offend anyone, i will not judge anyone who does or does not eat pet food, once did, or not, this is a genuine question, And actually, anyone can maybe try help answer this for me.....Here's my question to all of you...I'm sure you've all heard of the pet food recalls, and how the rat poisoning and other things in the food have killed and made ill of many many animals, but i was just curious how many people who eat the stuff got sick or died because of it? I mean, you probably wouldn't hear of such a thing on the news, but the truth of the matter is that many many people chose to eat the stuff, rather than regular diets. So, if your one of the ones who ate or still eat pet food, or know someone who has, or does, or even heard of this such thing, please tell me, has this effected the health of the human race as well? Also, for those of you who have eaten pet food by choice, have these recalls made you think differently of your dieting choices? Thanks.
Dog treats whats your brand?
Hi just want to know what kinds of treats you give your dogs. I have a small bichon shitzu who loves Milk Bone soft chew treats and rawhide chews. What does your dog like?
Rawhides?
I used to buy my Buster the basic rawhide chew toys for him to clean his teeth and exercise as far as for chewing etc. Now my wife had a coupon for $1.50 off this treat. I think it cost $4 so it was cheap as far as the amount it was totally. Now this is not a rawhide treat. It's just like a milk bone kind of. It has the same ingredients in it basically. sAME SHAPE AND all except its chewy not crunchy like milk bones. It's called Chew-Lotta. and made by Meaty Bone. The bones are offered in small med and lrg for the size of your dog. It says lasts 30% longer. It seemed these lasted him more like 50% longer than normal rawhide etc. If given a chance get these for your dog. Buster loves these and won't be getting a rawhide anytime soon as this is his new fave treat. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~
What special treats do you give your pet?

Busters Weight Roller Coaster
Here's a photo of my beagle BUSTER. He loves the soft warm blanket so I could not make the bed this morning as he was usuing it. Now most know I am my fathers caregiver. he is due home this weekend from the nursing home. He has always fed Buster table scraps including deserts and candy. UGHH! GRR!! hahahaha! Since dad has been gone for almost 6 weeks Buster has lost weight and is very active ands fit as compared to when he balooned from the table scraps etc. I am setting my foot down with dad as far as his feeding Buster anything other than a couple of his doggie treats. I have not been feeding him table scraps but a couple times since dads been gone. My Buster loves Purina's Beggin' Strips. He has to do a few tricks to get these also. He also loves any type of milk bone type treats. I have been on a regimine of 4 treats tops and usually he gets 2 a day only. Questions as follw.... Do you feed your pets table scraps? Do you mix them with his food at that time or not? Does your dog have any faves as far as treats? Share please? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~
Sitting So Pretty
Well I have the grandsons over today as we are going to the car races this evening. Hunter my youngest loves Buster so much and loves making him do his usual tricks I taught him. This is Hunter making Buster sit so pretty for his Milk Bone. Buster will stay sitting until he is told "okay" then he will ever so gently take the treat. He is a well trained dog. Does your dog do tricks and is he/she also very gentle in taking treats or food from your hands? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~
Treats
Mu beagle Buster loves his treats. I have taught him various tricks to earn his treats. I teell him certain areas in the house to go to and he runs there waiting for me to say "OKAY" before he returns for his treat. He will sit pretty. Lie down, roll over, give one paw or two paws when asked. He does so much to get these treats. His favorites are Beggin strips but the old stand by are Milk Bone treats. He holds tyhem between his paws as he eats them which looks so cute. Do you give your dog treats? Does he/she do tricks for them at all? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~
Hero dogs
This article included a picture, but I didn't know how to get it here on mylot. I thought this would touch all your hearts, war doesn't only include humans. Please share this as you wish."The K9 above is Brutus, a military K9 at McChord. He's huge - part Boxer and part British Bull Mastiff and tops the scales at 200 lbs. His handler took the picture. Brutus is running toward me because he knows I have some Milk Bone treats, so he's slobbering away! I had to duck around a tree just before he got to me in case he couldn't stop, but he did. Brutus won the Congressional Medal of Honor last year from his tour in Iraq .His handler and four other soldiers were taken hostage by insurgents. Brutus and his handler communicate by sign language and he gave Brutus the signal that meant 'go away but come back and find me'. The Iraqis paid no attention to Brutus. He came back later and quietly tore the throat out of one guard at one door and another guard at another door. He then jumped against one of the doors repeatedly (the guys were being held in an old warehouse) until it opened. He went in and untied his handler and they all escaped. He's the first K9 to receive this honor....
