Sensitive Stomach Dog Biscuits Discussions| HORRIBLE Virus! 1-5-2007 | | Oh my gosh! this was the worst. Ok, if you have a Sensitive stomach, now is the time to quit reading. I am posting this because I am hoping someone out there will benefit from my awful experience.
I started Friday the 5th of January like any day, went to work. Well, my stomach was hurting. I had a juice protein shake and a celery stick for breakfast. About 2 hours later diarrhea started. Not bad, but enough to know it might be best to go home. ON the way home at 9:15 I felt like i had gas, but from previous experience, I knew I better just hold it, and I was right when I got home, same results. About 2 hours later I started to vomit. Then every two hours diahrrea and vomit. There was nothing in my stomach, so it was all this thick green bile I guess. It was horrible. I tried antiacids, no help. I took 2 of my promethazine 25mg that I take for nausea, but it did not stop the every 2 hour bouts. It seemed to me like my stomach would build up this acid and it would hurt, I would throw up and feel better. At around 5pm I had a little bit of water with about a half a teaspoon of baking soda, then at 7pm, same day, I took 2 more of the promethazine...
| | Zico Coconut Water | | What's good about it: Coconut water has more potassium than a banana and 15 times more than sports drinks. It's also less acidic than sports drinks-perfect for guys who are heartburn-prone or have a sensitive stomach.
Tasty? It's not radically different from regular water-the coconut taste is slight. And there's no added sugar, so it isn't sickeningly sweet.
The bottom line: Reach for it after intense workouts to replenish electrolytes. With only 60 calories, 15 grams of carbs, and no fat, it can help you rehydrate without putting on pounds.

| | Do you feed your dog human food? Or do you only give them dog food? | | I am actually a strict pet parent. My dog doesn't get any human food whatsoever. My main reason is because she has a sensitive stomach. Any variation in her diet gives her awful gas, which is not fun to experience. I only give her human food when she gets medication. I then hide the pills in peanut butter which she loves. | |
| | Does anyone have a cat with digestive issues? | | My cat (he's two) pukes a lot! It's so disgusting. I just switched his food to Purina Naturals, and that helps a little, but he's puked three times in the two weeks since we switched. I know if I take him to the vet they will run massive amounts of expensive tests and end up putting him on some prescription food. He doesn't seem to be uncomfortable or sick. I think he either has a sensitive stomach or he eats too fast. Just wondering if anyone found anything that helps their cat. | |
| | Good Start Soy formula in liquid form---where can I find the cheapest prices | | This is my 4th time having to change my son's formula. He is 2 months old. His doctor wants him to only get the liquid formula until he is 6 months old since he has a sensitive stomach like me and my dad does. He is on Good Start Soy formula...I have been trying to get coupons which I haven't been able to get and also maybe some free samples. I am paying all formula out of pocket. I do not qualify for WIC or anything which I don't see why not. So I really need some advice to were I can get formula for cheap. Thank you!![em]happy[em] | |
| | My Friend is Scaring Me! | | So, my best friend, Adrienne(The one in the SAW III shirt in my post earlier this week) was acting a bit weird yesterday on the phone. She said she was freezing, and when I asked her why, she said it tied into something extremely personal, and only 3 people know about it. I already know she has a therapist(I don't remember why right now), so I just ignored it and let it go. Well, later last night, I mentioned i was eating pizza, and she said she doesn't eat that very much, because it hurts her stomach, then said that a lot of things do, because she has a sensitive stomach. I asked her why, and again, she said it involved the same extremely personal thing. I asked her what, and she said she'd text me later. Well, around 11 or so, I got her message, and she says(I'll just post the main parts), "I want to tell you, but then I don't because I'm just scared". I texted back and told her she didn't have to tell me if she didn't want to yet, and her next reply is what's freaking me out. She replied(Again, edited a bit), "Haha, thanks. Hey, what if I told you that I only had a few years to live?" I asked her what she meant, didn't get a reply all night. I just messaged her on Myspace, and... | |
| | How well open are you in experimenting on new dishes and menus? | | or would you rather eat food preparations that you are familiar with? I like trying new foods and most of the time I found them delicious, not all the time though. There were instances that I can hardly call them "food". I have tried a menu that says hot but delectable. The picture was mouth watering so I tried it.
After tasting it I said to myself how in the world do they ever call this food, let alone, delectable? All I felt was a burning sensation. Are you open to experimenting or you have a very sensitive stomach?
| | Website | | I just wondered if any of youall might know if there is a website I can check out if I want to know what sicknesses, viruses, etc. are going around. I know there is always something going around but thanks to the internet, we can always go online to get more information on certain subjects, whereas in the past, we couldn't do this. It seems like whenever I have an upset stomach, I want to know if there is a virus going around. Sometimes I will hear if anything is going around but then a lot of times, I don't hear about it. I know I could talk to people and find out but a lot of times, I just don't want to bring up anything unpleasant. I was taught that other people don't want to hear about your problems. However, I feel like that depends on who you talk to. I'm also aware that it could be due to something I ate. I do have a sensitive stomach, though. | |
