| For those with joint banking: Is it harder for you to shop for you partner? | | I was thinking about this the other day, I was wondering if it would be harder for me to buy more for my husband with us having joint banking. I mean if I bought something more expensive he may be able to guess as what I would buy would be something he'd want. I was able to guess one gift I was going to get for Christmas, but I don't remember if that was so much because of the way it was wrapped, a lucky guess or the amount that was taken out for that particular store when checking the bank statement... Hmm but I wonder if others have this trouble or if they purchase the gifts along with a few groceries so that the other half can't tell what was grocery and what was gift?So what's your input? | |

When you try to get an oil change service from one of your nearby auto shop, after the oil change service done, the mechanic would strongly recommend you to do this service, and that service. Some of those services are quite expensive, at least $500 fork over before you can take your car home. Once a mechanic wanted me to do the transmission service, and the timing belt altogether. But I remember that I done my timing belt service somewhere else just a few months ago. Now, I have to do it again? Sorry, I don't have that much money to waste. A replacement of oil filter might be justified from his demand. Did you get that a lot? | |

| What's the difference between a consignment shop & thrift store? | | Is there any difference, really, except that consignment shops clothes are generally more upscale and definitely more expensive? What are the actual differences between these two places? And which do you prefer to shop at?I'd definitely rather go to the thrift store. You can easily find so many brand names but at WAY better prices than at consignment shops.Do you ever shop at consignment clothing stores. If so, what's your opinion on them? | |
| | Shop Lifting...........Is it an addiction?? | | This is a very common crime that is done by teenaged people...Why do they commit this thing,knowing that it is a crime and they may caught red handed because of close circuit cameras??? People commiting this are also from good families.

| | Is January the best time to shop; do you get great deal? | | my friend is a shopaholic, and she knew all the great deal from where. I am just not a big fan of shopping. But lately, she shows me many good deal with really good price from those retail stores; like towels; linen; and blanket. Also, because of the house market isn't that great, you probably would find a lot of good deal from Warehouse clubs. So lately, I got some good stuff with cheap price from shopping, majority of them are on clearance sales, due to the end of the year sales.

| | Shop music | | What is the deal with the music they play in certain shops. Some have a radio station on and you hear general songs in the chart. These shops I can get on with. Then there is the odd shop you go into and they play somgs that have been resung and they sound awful. Often sounds like they have found someone walking past on the street, asked them to sing something like Lady Gaga or Robyn or whatever is top of the chart that week, over the top of some awful karaoke sound backing track, so that it can be played in some shop and really annoy people like me.
