| Can you train a small dog to use a litter box? | | I live in an apartment in the city and work full time. I'm dying to get a dog, but I hate the thought of leaving him in a crate all day. I've heard some people say that they've trained their small dogs to use a litter box during the day.Have any of you done this? Any tips or tricks to get it to work? | | Have you ever given a pet away? | | Most you know I owned three miniature pinschers. Well, when I was off line I was forced to give the last one I was given up. My sister in law took him to the humane shelter for me. For some reason 'Chevy' did not seem to like or get along with my teen. Earlier New Year morning, Chevy attacked my son for no reason. My son was laying on the couch trying to go to sleep. When all of a sudden Chevy jumped up and bit him as he layed there. I won't even mention where he bit my son at. But I am sure you can guess. My son now is going through a series of rabie shots and been to the emergency room twice because of it. I have only had this dog for a few months and didn't know its history at all. Except it was an unaltered male who barked and growled at everyone. The previous owner only told me he was taught to be protective and now they didn't know how to handle him. I have taken in miniature pinschers before with this same problem. But have never had one attack my son or the other animals in my house. It broke my heart but I knew it was for the best for everyone in my household.
