| Collar or no collar for cats | | I always wondered if the majority of cat owners actually put collars on their cats. I mean 2 of mine for awhile had collars, but i was always afraid they would get stuck on something, even though they are the safety release ones. I can't even figure out how to get the rabies tag on it. But i took the collars off because it looked like they were uncomfortable with them on....does your cat wear a collar? | |
| | Oh my god the scariest thing just happend to me! | | Today i was feeding my cat and i thoughtl; "hey, why don't i put a leesh on my cats coller" So i did it then my cat was walking around kinda funny so i decided to take it off.But then a loud noise came and she ran off and i was so terrified when i relised that she could jump off a tree and maybe get her leesh stuck in something therefor hanging her.So i ran around like a mad chicken screaming and crying (right then i didn't relise that it was probabally scaring mt cat)Finially i found my cat sitting on my roof so i got a ladder and brought her down.
So the meaning of this true story is... don't put a leesh/lead on you cat! | |

| Do you worry that your cat doesn't have a collar? | | I got my cat when he was 10 weeks old. He had never worn a collar prior to this. I tried to put a collar on him and he fought me so much I eventually gave up. He's 4 and a half now and I never really worry too much that he doesn't have a collar because he's an indoor cat. There's just sometimes that slight small fear that he'll get out somehow and I worry.Does anyone else have problems with their cat not wanting a collar? | |

Sure, if the collar's too tight it could choke the cat, but that's how we can tell it belongs to someone. A friend of mine puts a collar on her cat when he goes outside, but she takes it off him when he's in the house. What do you think? Is making a cat wear a collar cruel? | |
